Western governments, in lockstep with Globalist agendas, are enabling the systematic destruction of national, public, school, and university libraries. Children's libraries have become indoctrination centres, hosting age-inappropriate events such as Drag Queen Story Hour, and stocking sexually explicit books that are placed in front of primary school children.
A book recently published by the Chartered Institute for Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) shockingly endorses the use of North Korea's Juche ideology in Western libraries, stating that libraries should serve as vessels to transmit ideas from the leaders to the public.
Meanwhile, UK university libraries and museums are being 'decolonised', removing materials and changing library catalogue terms that they fear might be 'offensive' to a select few.
If Scotland doesn't fight back, the flame of free thinking lit by the Scottish Enlightenment will continue to be extinguished by librarians who are blindly following the destructive ideology of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), which is now indoctrinating young minds and destroying the written record of Western knowledge creation.
Bio: Dr Diane Rasmussen McAdie is UK Column's Commissioning Editor for Written Content, and co-hosts UK Column News with Brian Gerrish and Ben Rubin every Monday. She serves on the Executive Committee of Common Knowledge Edinburgh, the Editorial Board of the Scottish Union for Education, and the Advisory Board of Academics for Academic Freedom.
In January 2025, she was forced to leave her 25-year career in librarianship due to publicly opposing the ideological capture of UK libraries and defending the reality of biological sex - a position recently upheld by the UK Supreme Court. As President of CILIP Scotland, she was subjected to disciplinary action and ultimately pushed out of her professorship at Edinburgh Napier University.
